Custom Coasters with Your Logo
A coaster is small, cheap, and lives permanently on the surface where people put their drinks: a desk, a kitchen counter, a bar. It is one of the highest impression-per-dollar items in promotional products, and unlike most cheap items it does not look cheap, because a good coaster is a genuinely nice object. The selection covers absorbent stone and ceramic coasters with cork backing, bamboo and wood coasters, marble coasters, leather coasters, silicone and rubber coasters, and bottle opener coasters, available individually and in gift-boxed sets. For other barware, see Openers.

Absorbent stone: the one that actually works
Absorbent coasters are made from a porous stone or ceramic composite that draws condensation into the material and releases it as it evaporates. They are the only type that genuinely solves the problem coasters exist for, and the difference is obvious within a minute of putting a cold glass down.
Two things matter. The first is the cork backing, which protects the furniture from the stone itself and stops the coaster sliding. The second is that absorbent coasters take a full color printed image beautifully, because the surface is matte and the ink sinks in rather than sitting on top.
Bamboo, wood, and marble
Bamboo is light, sustainable, and takes a clean laser engraving that darkens against the pale grain. It is the most popular natural option and works particularly well in sets.
Marble is heavy, cool to the touch, and instantly reads as expensive. It does not absorb, so a glass will eventually leave a ring of water on it, and porous stone can stain from red wine or coffee if left. Sealed marble resists this better.
Wood and leather suit hospitality, whiskey and cigar brands, and executive gifts. Leather coasters develop a patina and look better with age, which is unusual in this category.
Print, engrave, or both
Full color printing is the right method on absorbent stone and ceramic, where the whole face becomes usable artwork. It is the only way to reproduce a photographic design or a complex brand mark at this size.
Laser engraving is for bamboo, wood, and leather. It is permanent and tactile, and it gives a restrained finish that suits a gift.
Pad printing handles silicone and plastic.
Because the surface is small, simplify. A logo and, at most, a short line of text. Anything more becomes illegible under a glass, which is where the coaster spends most of its life anyway.
Single or set
A single coaster is a giveaway. A set of four or six in a holder or gift box is a gift, and the difference in perceived value is far larger than the difference in cost. If the coaster is going to a client, a new homeowner, or an employee, buy the set. If it is going on a bar or a trade show table in quantity, buy singles.
One honest caveat: absorbent stone coasters can crack if dropped on a hard floor, and they will take on a stain from red wine or strong coffee over time, particularly lighter designs. That is normal for the material rather than a defect, but a design with a light background will show it sooner. If the coaster is destined for heavy bar use, a darker design or a silicone coaster will age better.
Who uses them well
Breweries, distilleries, wineries, bars, and restaurants are the obvious buyers and treat coasters as working stock rather than promotion. Less obvious and very effective: real estate agents at closing, home services and insurance agents where the coaster stays on a kitchen counter, and financial and professional services firms who want a desk item that is not another pen.
