Stemmed, stemless, or tumbler

Stemmed glasses are the traditional and more formal choice. They also break at the stem, which is where every wine glass breaks, and they are awkward to ship and to fit in a dishwasher.

Stemless glasses have taken over most promotional programs for exactly those reasons. They survive shipping, they stack, and they suit casual settings.

An insulated stainless wine tumbler is a different product again: unbreakable, keeps wine cold outdoors, and is permitted where glass is not. For pools, boats, patios, and outdoor events it is the only sensible answer.

Tritan and shatterproof options

Tritan and similar copolyesters look close to glass, resist shattering, and are dishwasher safe. They are the practical choice for venues with a glass ban, for families, and for anywhere the glass will be carried outdoors.

They are not glass and a discerning recipient will notice, so use them where the setting justifies it rather than as a cost saving at a formal event.

Decoration and presentation

Deep etching frosts the surface permanently and survives any dishwasher, which is the right method for glasses in regular use. Screen printing with fired ceramic inks holds brand colors; organic inks fade and should be avoided on anything washed often.

Presentation matters here more than in most drinkware. A set of two in a branded box is a complete gift and costs only slightly more than two loose glasses.
