Paper or polypropylene
Printed card folders are economical, take full color across the whole cover, and are the standard for proposals and event packs. They are effectively single-use.
Polypropylene folders are durable, wipe clean, and survive being carried in a bag for months. They cost more and are the right choice when the contents matter for a long time, such as training materials or patient information.
Features worth specifying
A business card slot on the inside pocket is small and consistently useful, because it keeps a contact attached to the document.
A pen loop turns a folder into a meeting kit. A clipboard folder gives a writing surface anywhere, which suits field staff, inspections, and events.
Check the pocket depth against the actual paper size. A pocket that lets letter-size pages slip out is the most common complaint and is easy to check on a sample.
Printing and audience
Card folders take offset or digital printing, with matte or soft-touch lamination raising the perceived quality noticeably for a small cost. Polypropylene takes screen printing or a foil stamp.
