What to check
Capacity in mAh tells you roughly how many phone charges you get: 5000 for one, 10000 for two or more. Real output is lower than the rating because of conversion losses, which is normal.
Insist on UL or ETL listing. Lithium cells are a genuine fire risk when poorly made, and this is the one category where the cheapest option should be refused.
Shipping and use
Lithium batteries are dangerous goods for air freight, with restricted carriers and slower international transit. Recipients also cannot pack them in checked luggage when flying, only carry-on, which is worth mentioning.
For vehicle use, a unit with a built-in cable removes the most common failure, which is having power and no cable.
