Sunscreen is a regulated product
In the United States sunscreen is regulated by the FDA as an over-the-counter drug. That means the SPF value, the broad spectrum claim, and the required drug facts labeling all have to be correct and substantiated.
Buy from suppliers who can confirm compliance and provide the labeling. This is not a category to improvise in, and a private-label sunscreen with incorrect labeling is a genuine regulatory problem.
SPF 30 broad spectrum is the practical standard and covers most promotional use.
Formats
Squeeze bottles at half an ounce to two ounces are the volume format and fit a pocket or a golf bag. A carabiner clip attaches the bottle to a bag, which is the difference between it being used and being lost at the bottom of one.
Sprays are quicker to apply and popular with families. Sticks are mess-free, suit faces and children, and travel well.
