Not for climbing, and say so
This is the one thing that must be stated. Promotional carabiners are accessory clips, not climbing equipment, and they carry no load rating. They are for attaching a water bottle to a backpack, not for anything where failure has consequences.
Reputable products are marked as not for climbing, and that marking should not be removed or obscured by your artwork. If anyone asks whether they could be used for climbing, the answer is no.
Formats that get used
A plain aluminum carabiner with a split ring is the volume item and clips keys to a belt loop or a bag.
Combination versions carry more of their weight: a carabiner with an LED light, a tape measure, a bottle opener, or a charging cable wound inside. These cost more and are used daily rather than occasionally.
A locking gate stops the clip opening accidentally, which matters if it is holding anything that would be missed.
Decoration and audience
Anodized aluminum takes a clean laser engraving that exposes bright metal beneath the color, and pad printing gives brand colors on the flat face. The area is narrow, so the mark alone.
