How a roll top works
A dry bag seals by rolling the open end down at least three times before clipping. Fewer rolls and it leaks, which is worth explaining, because a recipient who rolls it once and gets wet contents blames the bag.
Most roll-top dry bags are water resistant rather than fully submersible. They keep contents dry in rain, spray, and a brief dunk. If genuine submersion is needed, look for a stated IPX rating on a sealed pouch.
Sizing and features
Small bags of two to five liters hold a phone, a wallet, and keys. Ten to twenty liters holds clothes for a day. Larger duffels are for boats and camping.
