Custom Jackets Embroidered with Your Logo

A jacket is the highest-value piece of branded apparel and the most worn. It goes on over everything else, it is worn outdoors where other people see it, and a good one lasts years rather than seasons. That combination makes jackets the standard reward for service milestones, field teams, and anyone whose job puts them outside. The range covers softshell jackets, insulated and hybrid jackets, waterproof rain jackets, knit and fleece full-zips, and work jackets in washed duck canvas, in men’s and women’s cuts. For fleece hoodies see Hoodies, and for lighter layers see Coats.

Softshell, insulated, or waterproof

A softshell is wind resistant, water repellent, and breathable, with a bonded fleece backing. It is the most versatile corporate jacket and the safest single choice for a mixed group, because it works across three seasons and looks acceptable indoors.

An insulated jacket, whether down or synthetic fill, is for cold. Synthetic fill keeps working when damp and is the better choice for anyone working outdoors; down is warmer for its weight and fails when wet.

A waterproof rain jacket is a different garment. Genuine waterproofing means taped or sealed seams and a rated fabric, not a water-repellent coating. A jacket described only as water resistant will wet through in sustained rain, and recipients discover this at the worst moment.

Hybrid jackets combine insulated panels with stretch knit side panels, which has become the most popular style in corporate apparel because it moves well and does not look bulky.

Work jackets

Washed duck canvas work jackets are a specific product for a specific audience: construction, utilities, agriculture, and trades. These recipients know the brands and can judge quality by feel. Giving a trades crew a thin fashion jacket is worse than giving them nothing, and giving them a proper work jacket earns real goodwill.

Embroidery is the finish

Jackets are embroidered, not printed, with very few exceptions. Left chest embroidery is the standard placement, with a back or sleeve mark for team and field applications.

Two technical points matter. On waterproof shells, embroidery punctures the membrane and can compromise the waterproofing, so the decorator must use a backing and sealing method appropriate to the garment, or the branding should be applied as a heat transfer instead. On insulated jackets, embroidery must not pierce through into the fill, so the decorator works through the outer layer only, and not every shop can do this well.

Ask how the decorator handles both cases before committing a large order. This is where jacket programs go wrong, and the damage is invisible until it rains.

Sizing

Jackets are worn over other layers, so recipients often need a size up from their shirt size, particularly for insulated styles. Collect sizes in advance if you possibly can, and offer both men’s and women’s cuts rather than a single unisex run, since jacket fit differs far more between cuts than a tee does.

Order a small buffer of large sizes. A jacket that does not fit cannot be worn at all, and unlike a tee it cannot be passed to a colleague.
