Access control bands
Single-use bands with a tamper-evident closure cannot be removed and reapplied, which is the point at a ticketed event. VIP locking bands in fabric are more comfortable for multi-day events and look better in photographs.
NFC smart bands add cashless payment, access control, and check-in, which is now standard at larger festivals and conferences. They need a system behind them, so this is an infrastructure decision rather than a merchandise one.
Awareness and cause bands
Silicone bands remain the standard for causes and campaigns. Debossed, embossed, and color-filled options all exist; debossed with color fill stays legible longest.
They are cheap in volume, which makes them suitable for campaigns where reach matters more than unit value.
Comfort decides whether they stay on
A band that catches hair, irritates skin, or sits too tight comes off within an hour. Soft silicone and woven fabric are comfortable; hard plastic closures against the wrist are not.
